ACI 318-11 RC SMRF Design

Description of Software Tool:

This Excel Software Tool is provided for the design of American Concrete Institute (ACI) Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete (318-11) design of Reinforced Concrete (RC) Special Moment Resisting Frame (SMRF) elements and connections.

This software tool consists of four worksheets used to define and design (as well as detail) the elements and connections of portion of a SMR Frame (two columns and interconnecting beam) at a particular Floor Level. The SMR Frame evaluated is assumed part of the Lateral Force Resisting System (LFRS) consisting of RC SMRF’s in a RC building, and found to meet drift criteria in a separate analysis.
