RC Shear Walls - Rigid Diaphragms - Metric Series

Description of Software Tool:

The above referenced Excel Software Tool is provided for distribution of seismic loads to Reinforced Concrete (RC) Shear Walls (SW) part of the Lateral Force Resisting System (LFRS) in Low Rise Simple Buildings assuming Rigid Diaphragm Analysis (RDA) assumptions, where loads are distributed to resisting elements according to their relative stiffness and location away from the Center of Rotation (COR) of the rigid diaphragm. These software tools use Metric (MPa or Mks – Kgf/cm2) Units.

This software tool is a reduced version of the RC LFRS RDA – EQ software tool provided for taller buildings in the NBSD Software Library, meant to be used instead for Low Rise RC Buildings in seismic regions (such as single or multi-family residential dwellings or commercial buildings) which can benefit from RC Shear Walls suitably placed within the building at lines of resistance.
