The above referenced Excel Software Tool is provided for the design of Reinforced Concrete (RC) Special Moment Resisting Frame (SMRF) elements and connections, using American Concrete Institute (ACI) 318-14 criteria and methodology, using Metric (MPa or Mks – Kgf/cm²) Units.

This software tool consists of four worksheets used to define and design (as well as detail) the elements and connections of portion of a SMR Frame (two columns and interconnecting beam) at a particular Floor Level. The SMR Frame evaluated is assumed part of the Lateral Force Resisting System (LFRS) consisting of RC SMRF’s in a RC building, and found to meet drift criteria in a separate analysis.
