This Excel Software Tool is provided for the design of angle bracing for Wide Flange (WF) Beams in steel frames (SMRF, EBF, etc) used in buildings with wood frame floor diaphragms. WF Beam bracing connections are provided in this software tool for Parallel to Joists, Normal to Joists, or between parallel WF Beams cases or conditions, either at exterior or interior lines of resistance, directly below the floor diaphragm or with a 2x load bearing support wall. AISC 360-10 criteria is used for steel components of the connections provided while NDS 2015 is used for timber connections and elements.
